St Patrick's Day Make - Part 2

Following on from Part 1, we now have our shamrock SVG file and we are going to cut it out onto some vinyl. I am using a speciality vinyl that has a glass etched effect. You could always use a green vinyl if you would like to add some colour to your project!

First of all, we need to make sure your shamrock is the right size for your glass. Size your shamrock and the press Make It.

You will go through to the make screen. Choose your material on the dial on your machine, load up your mat and cut!

Once your project is cut, you need to use your weeding tool to take away the surrounding surplus vinyl.

Use a transfer tape to stick over the top and peel away the backing of the vinyl. Make sure your glass is clean and dust free. Position your shamrock where you would like it on the glass.

Use your scraper tool to make sure it’s really smoothed out any kinks. Remove the transfer tape and there you have your finished glass!

You can use different colours of vinyl and you could even add a name or 'Happy St Patrick’s Day’ if you’d like too!

I would love to see if you have tried this project! If you have any suggestions for makes that you would like to see or any questions, please leave a comment below.

Note: Please refer to the manufacturer's instructions and care advice. This vinyl is suitable for outdoor use and is therefore waterproof, however, it is advised that the glass would be hand wash only and should not be left submerged to increase the life of the vinyl decal.
